It was such a nice afternoon that I took a walk to the Library to pick up some books.  Just for fun I took my camera along and took some pictures as I walked along the side walks and paths.

All the pictures are Thumbnails, so a click will make them bigger.

Leaving the house and heading up the street and around the corner
Picking up the pathway. looking back along the path in the other direction (remember this spot, we will be back later) left across the bridge A lot of the paths are marked with the name of the street to which they connect
Lots of squirrels to be seen cross the street and pick up the path passing one of the many playgrounds located on the path system Another destination sign
As you can see we have some strange street names here in Columbia Coming up to another street, in the background you can just see the village center. Small office and meeting rooms for the village use. and in the background of the last picture and in this one is an Elem. and Middle school.
Here is another path but not one I am taking A closer look at the school in passing There is the Library coming up on the left. Have to cross the street now
Into the parking lot and the entrance The foyer with display areas for local artists of all ages The "New Book" shelves Inside, looking towards the Reference stacks
CDs, DVD, Video Cassettes and the Fiction Stacks The hallway leading to the children's wing On the way home. back where I said to remember the picture Along the path, a map of the pathways in the Village of Steven's Forest
following the path we pass another playground then continue to the right headed for a bridge just around the corner to the right crossing the bridge, looking up, there is a hawk sitting on the branch
and here is a close up. continuing on and up through the woods what do we see but another hawk.
we are going to take the branch to the right but first a shot of a woodpecker working his way up the tree then up the hill and over into the court and down the street to the left
Back
and we are back home again. About 2-2 1/2 miles all told.
